Children learn best with friends
Our Approach

Children learn best with friends

Languages, arts and debate are ways children meet, take part, make friends and grow.

Our philosophy

Community is the educational purpose of CLA. We want children and teenagers to feel they belong to a group where friendships form, curiosity is welcome and their ideas matter.

We do not promise fluency or qualifications. We promise time with other people, good material, real reasons to speak and the soft skills that grow from all three: confidence, listening and collaboration.

Our philosophy
Learning through creativity

Learning through creativity

Stories, theatre, art and conversation give a language something to do. Children use it to make a scene, explain a drawing or defend an idea, and discovery comes with the doing.

Many languages in one room

Our groups bring together children from Lithuanian, international and mixed-language families. They hear other accents, other stories and other ways of doing things, and they learn that a language belongs to the people who use it. We draw on literature, art, history and everyday life from many places, not only from the countries whose language we teach.

Belonging and safeguarding

We take bullying seriously. Teamwork, respect, sharing and kindness are part of every group, and we work with parents when something goes wrong.

Small groups

We keep groups small so every child is known by name. Ratios depend on age and activity, and we share them for each camp.

Safe arrival and pickup

Children are handed over only to a parent or an adult you have named in writing. Tell us of any changes before the session.

Camps and outings

CLA staff supervise children throughout camps and outings. We ask for your written permission before any trip outside our venue.
